Khaplu Fort Baltistan
Khaplu Fort, also known as Yabgo Khar (literally, “the fort on the roof”), is a historic fort and palace located in Khaplu, in Pakistan’s Gilgit-Baltistan area. It was built in the 16th century and is now a museum. The Fort, which is regarded as an architectural landmark as well as a popular tourist destination, was constructed in the mid-19th century to replace a previous fort that had been positioned nearby.
